We are fortunate to have a very

active 'Friends of Great Rissington School'.

Parents of children in school automatically become members of the Association, which is supported by staff, parents and the local community.  Various events are organised throughout the year in order to bring parents together socially and to raise funds to support the school.

The Friends depend on support from parents in a variety of ways - please consider giving some time to help.

Children practise plate spinning.

Thanks to funds raised by the Friends, we are able to have a special 'Focus Week' every year devoted to a particular 'theme'.  In 2003 we all enjoyed a wonderful CIRCUS WEEK with many visitors coming into school for an action packed week.  In summer 2004 our special week was AFRICA and in 2005 we had the ENVIRONMENT as our Focus week topic.

     The ever popular CAKE

             STALL organised by the

             Friends of the School.

Each class is responsible for bringing cakes once during the summer term, to help raise funds for the school.  The cake stall opens at the end of the school day, and is always very popular with both children and parents.
