Focus Week 2008 - NEAR AND FAR |
Our Focus Week in June 2008 was Near and Far Week. This excellent action packed week enabled us to draw together all the themes that we had been studying throughout the year. Playing Indian instruments and drumming African drums were two of the highlights that supported class topics about India and Africa. We had a great party day and open afternoon at the end of the week to celebrate our first ECO Schools Green Flag award. All the children dressed in green, painted their faces and sprayed their hair. Green recycled plastic bags were used to make party bunting and we all enjoyed iced green cakes that the children had made following the flag raising ceremony in the afternoon. Barn and Morris dancing in our playground was great fun too. It was a super week, enjoyed by everyone who took part.
