Welcome to Great Rissington Primary School

We are a friendly, vibrant school set in the picturesque Cotswold village of Great Rissington. We cater for children from 4 to 11 years of age and currently have 98 children on roll, who are taught in 4 classes. Our popular school is growing and our extension on a site in Upper Rissington is due to open in September 2014.

 
At Great Rissington we make school a very happy experience. We are a school where there are expectations of excellence, where individuals are valued, achievements celebrated and where children are happy and safe. We have a tremendously energetic and creative staff who are all committed to providing a wonderful primary school education for all of our children. We pride ourselves on the high academic standards that our children consistently achieve. In 2012 Great Rissington School came top of the Gloucestershire league table for achievement in the Standardised Assessment Tests and was congratulated by the Minister of State for Schools for being among the top performing schools in England. 

Our school is held in the highest esteem by pupils, staff, parents, governors and the community.

In 2011 we were given Ofsted’s highest possible grade of "Outstanding" and our aim is to continue to develop the school, embracing new ideas, methods and technology, in order to continue to give our pupils the best experience we can.

Our  Ofsted   report  and  our  SATS  results  speak  for  themselves,  but  we believe the best way to get a flavour of life at Great  Rissington School is to come and see us in action!
